Class of 1980 Reunion

Morehouse Brothers,

It's hard to believe our 40th Reunion is fast approaching. This year, in honor of this special milestone, we want to collectively make a significant impact to secure the House for future generations.

We are asking each Morehouse Man from the class of 1980 to contribute at least $1,980 by May 16, 2020. 

Together, our goal is to raise $100,000 for the Funds for Morehouse - the college's unrestricted fund. President David A. Thomas has expressed the critical need for unrestricted support:

• The economic realities of the families Morehouse serves and the increasing costs to operate the college requires action to protect the House
• More than 94% of Morehouse students rely on financial aid and scholarships
• The College has a discounted tuition rate of more than 40% or approximately $25M annually
• Only 10% of the fundraising revenue received by the College is unrestricted. This poses a challenge for Morehouse to keep up with the competitive needs of current and future generations of students and faculty.

In this vastly competitive market, a gift to Morehouse will mean the College can continue to attract top students by offering competitive scholarships and financial assistance. Your gift ensures that this legacy of excellence continues to produce a new generation of leaders—men who will make a difference in their communities, the nation and the world.
