On behalf of the Morehouse NYC Alumni Association, I am proud to announce the launch of the 2021 MLK Day Scholarship fundraiser weekend. For 30+ years, the Morehouse NYC Alumni Association has helped countless students get to and through college. Today, you can join by raising vital funds to help in the continuation of that process.
Each year the chapter kicks off its programming and fundraising campaigns with an annual scholarship breakfast on MLK Day. Although the pandemic may keep us from gathering in person, we are excited to say this time honored tradition will continue virtually. The programming will begin on January 15th with a short film festival / competition. On January 16th the alumni chapter will be hosting a day of recruiting, giving students with an interest in attending Morehouse College the chance to meet with our local and national recruiting team as well as members from the admissions department. In addition, on that Saturday we will also give current students and alumni the chance to meet with corporate recruiters who are offering career opportunities. The finale for the scholarship weekend will be a virtual award ceremony on January 18 (MLK Day).
All donation proceeds will go towards the Morehouse NYC Scholarship Endowment Fund. This merit based scholarship fund is specifically dedicated to helping Metro NYC students with their matriculation through Morehouse.
