Support Students Experiencing Hardship

During the difficult and uncertain public health threat posed by COVID-19, many of our students will experience financial hardships. Today we are asking alumni and friends to support our students with a gift to the Student Emergency Assistance Fund.

Support Students Experiencing Hardship

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT:

There is no higher priority than the safety of our students, faculty, and staff. Considering the challenges presented by the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, Morehouse College is taking significant steps to respond to our current reality and protect our campus community—including transitioning to a virtual instruction environment through the end of the academic year.

We believe these actions are a necessary safeguard, however we also recognize that many of our students will experience financial hardships during this difficult and uncertain public health concern.

We are asking alumni to support our students by giving to the Student Emergency Assistance Fund - click here now to give. Your contribution will directly benefit Morehouse students and provide relief for financial hardships such as:

  • Housing and food insecurity
  • Travel expenses related to returning home
  • Technology needs to ensure students can access virtual learning
  • Other unforeseen financial challenges

In any time of crisis, the Morehouse community responds with grace and generosity—living up to the call of brotherhood. I am confident that now will be no different and that with your help we can help protect and support the educational and financial needs of our students.

Yours Truly,

David A. Thomas, Ph.D.

President
